Biomechanical Assessment
Prevention, Diagnosis and Assessment
Biomechanical assessment is one of the fields of Podiatry that involves the prevention, diagnosis and assessment of the structure, alignment and function of muscles, bones and joints of the lower limb including the feet. A biomechanical assessment consists of examining the way your lower limbs work. At The Diss Chiropoday and Podiatry Clinic, we check for abnormalities and the possible reasons for pain in the foot, ankle, knee and back.

Who needs a Biomechanical Assessment?
Not everyone needs an examination, not everyone need orthotics. The following conditions are normally associated with a biomechanical examination.:
- People with particularly low arches
- People with particularly high arches
- People with one leg longer than the other
- People with sports injuries
Once we identify the problems causing the pain, we provide advice which sometimes involve insoles. We also offer advice on exercises that improve strength and flexibility.

Individual Treatment Plans
At The Diss Chiropody Clinic, we provide personalised solutions. We will design an individual treatment plan for you after an examination.
